Maureen Wojnar Named Vice President

North Grafton, MA – Karl J. Moisan, President and Chief Executive Officer at Homefield Credit Union is pleased to announce that Maureen Wojnar has been promoted to Vice President, Operations.

 

Ms. Wojnar is a classic success story.  She joined the Credit Union 30 years ago as a part-time teller, meeting the challenge of each new assignment.  Her current expertise is in the operations of the Credit Union.  According to Mr. Moisan, Ms. Wojnar has been invaluable in that area.  “Maureen has taken on one of the most challenging areas of the Credit Union, and taken it to a new level.” Measurable advances and improvements in deposit operations programs and technology have been realized under Ms. Wojnar’s leadership.  She consistently works on business strategies to improve the Credit Union’s products, member service and delivery efficiencies. Most recently, she completed a successful core and application conversion project, which had been underway for more than a year.  She managed it without any interruption to the daily operation of the credit union.

 

Within the institution, Ms. Wojnar is a member of the Compliance Committee, IT Steering Committee, and Homefield Credit Union’s Spirit Committee which involves fundraising campaigns within the Credit Union to benefit local organizations such as the Grafton Food Bank and the Community Harvest Project.

 

In addition to her professional responsibilities, Ms. Wojnar is a dedicated volunteer. She is highly visible in the Grafton community, not only as a lifelong resident but also for her many years of work with the Grafton Lions Club, having been named Lion of the Year in 2011 in recognition of her volunteer efforts within the organization.  For many years, Ms. Wojnar volunteered her time to coach Biddy Basketball in Grafton, and is currently an active member of the Grafton Garden Club. In 2017, Ms. Wojnar was awarded Banker and Tradesman’s Credit Union Heroes award for her dedication to volunteer efforts.

 

Ms. Wojnar earned her BA in English from Assumption College in Worcester.  She is an avid sports fan, enjoys spending time with her family at home and on the beach, and loves to golf and travel.
